The word 'chakra' literally means 'wheel' or vortex in Sanskrit. Chakras are the energy centers in our bodies. Although we have hundreds, there are seven main chakras that we need to maintain at a healthy level.

Energetically, the chakras correspond to the glands of the endocrine system. Being out of balance energetically, can lead to physical, emotional and mental imbalances. The endocrine system is a collection of glands that are responsible for the production of hormones that regulate systems such as metabolism, sexual function and reproduction. Hormonal and energetic imbalances can even affect your mood. When our chakras are healthy and balanced, it enables the endocrine system to more effectively do its job, and also allows us to easily have a happy and healthy mind, body and spirit.

When clearing and balancing the chakras, it is best to start with the lower chakras and work your way to the upper chakras. The second chakra is the sacral chakra or the Svadisthana. It is located just below the navel around the upper part of the sacrum. It is represented by the color orange.

The sacral chakra is associated with creativity, relationships and sexuality. It is through the sacral chakra that we give birth to creative projects, relationships and new souls into our world. Physically it is associated with the adrenal glands which are located just above the kidneys.

When your sacral chakra is blocked or out of balance you may have walls built up as a line of defense and protection. These defenses are put into place in an attempt to avoid what we are truly feeling. This is a self-imposed prison that traps us and denies us meaningful relationships. When we are making love to our partner the kundalini energy which lies within the base (root) chakra is meant to rise into our higher chakras. When the sacral chakra is blocked the kundalini energy is unable to rise past this point, denying us what should be a truly blissful experience with our partner. This can lead to great frustration as we are not able to experience lasting fulfillment on a soul level in addition to a physical level. This can cause some to seek out different partners in order to find this blissful connection. Addictions of all kinds are associated with an imbalanced sacral chakra as we are constantly attempting to seek solutions from outside of ourselves rather than looking within for the answers. Healing the sacral chakra will allow the kundalini energy to flow naturally enabling us to experience true intimacy with another.

When we are unaware of the energies of the sacral chakra, we can unknowingly add fuel to the fires of control, jealousy, anger and the inability to receive love. Through awareness comes power and the ability to achieve true intimacy with another person, both physically and on a soul level. This type of loving union is unconditional. As we heal our sacral chakra we have the ability to love ourselves unconditionally (self-love) and release our perceived need to build defensive walls. This opens up the natural flow of giving and receiving love.

Here is a list of ways you can heal and balance the sacral chakra.

  1. Reiki - you can have a session with a Reiki practitioner or you can administer Reiki to yourself. Reiki is life force energy and is available to us all.

  2. Affirmations - you can listen to sacral chakra affirmations as you go about your day. There are many sacral chakra affirmations videos available on YouTube.

  3. Chakra meditations - There are also many excellent chakra meditations available on YouTube.

  4. Dance, sing, paint or engage in any activity where you can express your creativity and experience joy.

  5. Practice Yoga or Tai Chi - There are specific poses that work well for clearing and balancing the sacral chakra (as well as the other chakras).

  6. Crystals such as yellow topaz, orange calcite, carnelian and moonstone help to activate and clear the sacral chakra.

  7. Sound and vibrational healing. You can listen to a video (headphones are best) or use a crystal singing bowl tuned to the frequency of the sacral chakra.

  8. The sacral chakra can benefit from the use of essential oils such as sandalwood, jasmine and rose oil.

NOTE: If you use crystals in your chakra work, remember to cleanse and recharge them after each use. Place your crystals in the light of the full moon or place them next to a piece of selenite.

Yes! Your twin flame will see the same synchronicities. 1111, 222, 333, etc. These synchronicities show up in our lives to guide us in the right direction, put us back on path, etc. It is important to remember, however, that one Twin almost always goes through the awakening process first. Initially, there is the awakened and the unawakened twin. This is often confused with the twin flame runner - chaser dynamic. One twin will awaken first and begin the inner soul work and healing. As this work continues the other twin begins to go through their own dark night of the soul and spiritual awakening. The twin that is the first to awaken to the twin flame path is the leader (typically the Divine Feminine) and the unawakened is the follower. So, although you will both see the signs and synchronicities they may occur at different times depending upon where you are on your twin flame journey. As you continue your healing you and your twin flame will come into alignment more and more. At this stage you and your twin flame will begin to see the signs and synchronicities at the same time. There is a lot of information out there on spiritualism, energy healing, twin flames, etc. So, How do you know what and who to believe? What one chooses to believe (what resonates with you) should always be up to you the individual. Some misinformation may be a result of us all being at different stages in our spiritual development. So, in many cases it is not actual misinformation but one's own perspective as seen from their particular stage of enlightenment. We are all continuously pushed to rise higher and higher in our ascension. There are, however, some out there with more sinister and self serving motives behind their theories and teachings. So, we must all learn to develop our own individual intuition and discernment (the ability to distinguish between spirits or energies) to guide us along our path. It's like using good judgement on steroids! There is always contrast and there is always balance. But, it is sometimes difficult to tell who is of the light and who is of the dark. The dark is very skilled (and manipulative) at disguising itself as the light. But there are typically some huge red flags around those operating in the dark rather than the light. (Ego vs. Unconditionality) The purpose of this blog is to help distinguish between the characteristics of a light worker vs. a dark worker.

These red flags of darkness may be subtle or quite obvious depending on the situation.

  1. The group leader / founder believe (or want you to believe) that they are always right and will NEVER entertain any opposing viewpoints.

  2. They are PREDATORS! They swoop in and take advantage of people when they are the most vulnerable. We are all vulnerable when going through the dark night of the soul and begin our spiritual awakening. We are like newborn babies desperate for guidance.

  3. They seek to isolate members / followers from their family, friends and co-workers. As we awaken, people, places and things which are no longer for our highest good will begin to fall away. However, who and what is no longer for our highest good is ultimately up to the individual to determine through spiritual guidance and our own intuition. NOBODY has the right to force something or someone out of your life.

  4. They will ask you to follow a strict set of guidelines that are way beyond what is commonly accepted by similar groups. You are not allowed to follow or explore any other groups, modalities or teachings.

  5. The false light (false prophet) may resort to fear, harassment, coercion, blackmail or intimidation to attempt to keep people in line. They may even convince others in the group to work for their own financial gain with little or no compensation.

  6. Those who choose to break away from the group may be ostracized, humiliated or belittled in an attempt to make them look like the bad guy rather than the victim. Former members often have the same stories of abuse and harassment.

Spiritual leaders and true lights seek to build you up...not tear you down and destroy you. If you are experiencing any of the above red flags please be mindful and be careful!!! A person or group with this type of energy is toxic and harmful. There are many TRUE lights out there to collaborate and align yourself with.

Now we would like to discuss some of the signs of a true light worker, group or leader.

  1. Transparency - what you see is what you get. A true light will answer any and all questions to the best of their ability - without being judgemental. A true light does not have the need or desire to hide anything!

  2. Finances - True lights will charge a reasonable fee for their services if they offer them. A proper energy exchange is important for all parties involved, however, if the amount is excessive then services may be unobtainable to those who need it the most. Being a light worker is about being of service to others....not service to self.

  3. There will always be those in a group that will become disgruntled for one reason or another. It is their path - release them with peace, love, light and wish them well on their journey. Like my twin flame always likes to say...it takes a village. If we can not help you, we will find someone who can.

  4. Encourages healthy relationships amongst group members and their respective friends and families.

  5. We are ALL teachers and students of each other. Independent thinking is encouraged and celebrated. A true light recognizes that no one in a group is any more or less important than another.

  6. A true light will admit mistakes openly and recognize that there is not ONE truth but many sources of knowledge (many truths). We ALL contain within us an important piece of the human collective consciousness puzzle.
